About Sarah:

So without any further ado....
Here's Michelle Rowen (and Sarah Dearly)

Thanks ROCCO!

To celebrate the release of BLED & BREAKFAST, the second book in my Immortality Bites Mystery series, I thought I’d let fledgling vampire Sarah Dearly ask me a few questions. As the main character of my original Immortality Bites paranormal romance series and the spin-off mystery series, we’ve spent a lot of time together over the last seven years and I feel that she might have a few things to get off her chest.

So go ahead, Sarah. Have at it.

SARAH DEARLY: Finally, I’m in control of my destiny! Okay, Ms. Author, let’s get started. One thing that’s been bothering me for ages is how mean you are to me. Why do you always put me in life or death situations?

 MICHELLE ROWEN: Because it’s fun.

SARAH: You think it’s fun to make me run for my life while being chased and/or plotted against by witches, shapeshifters, other vampires, random people who dislike me on sight, and vampire hunters? And in BLED & BREAKFAST (what’s up with all the punny titles, anyway?) there’s a homicidal ghost after Thierry and me. That’s supposed to be fun?

MICHELLE: Yes. To all of that. Well, it’s fun for me, anyway.

 SARAH: You’re mean.

MICHELLE: Oh, come on. Don’t be like that. You’ve had some fun too, haven’t you? I mean, you got the tall, dark and fangsome vampire of your dreams, right? You’re crazy about Thierry or you never would have joined him on his assignments for the Ring now that he’s stuck working for the mysterious vampire council.

SARAH: True. I’d go anywhere to be with my sexy and sullen soulmate. By the way, what’s up with the name of the Ring? Where did that come from, anyway?

MICHELLE: Honestly? When I was writing Fanged & Fabulous and the council first got a mention, I’d just seen the horror movie by that name. So I’m stuck with it due to a one line joke in that book. *shrugs* But it kind of works, right?

SARAH: Sure. Suuure it does. Okay, I’m also curious about how seven years has passed since Bitten & Smitten came out, but it only feels like eight months to me since I was sired.

MICHELLE: That’s the magic of publishing. It’s like dog years.

SARAH: Since I’m immortal either way, I guess it doesn’t really matter. Do I get to star in another book after BLED & BREAKFAST?

MICHELLE: Why? Do you want to? I thought you were all “you’re so mean” and “I just want to sit on beaches and drink Tequila Sunrises.”

SARAH: Well, yeah. But I also like being center stage whenever possible. If I didn’t nag you constantly, you probably wouldn’t have written this mystery series in the first place, right?

MICHELLE: True. You are a shameless nag. And, yes, I am working on your next book.

SARAH: Ooooh! What’s the title? Another delightful pun?

MICHELLE: Of course it’s another delightful pun. I’d have it no other way. It’s called FROM FEAR TO ETERNITY and it’ll be out next year.

SARAH: *glares* That doesn’t sound like fun for me.

MICHELLE: Maybe not, but it’s fun for me to write! Thanks for your questions, Sarah!

What’s BLED & BREAKFAST about? Here’s the back cover blurb:

Fledgling vampire Sarah Dearly knew what she was getting into when she married master vampire Thierry de Bennicoeur. As an agent of the Ring, Thierry is sent all over the world to solve vampire crimes and keep them secret from humans. And now Sarah’s on the job with him—for better or worse.

Right after their wedding in Las Vegas, Sarah and Thierry get their next assignment: Three vampires have gone missing in Salem, Massachusetts, and they need to find out why. Their contact in Salem turns out to be a local lothario with a penchant for witches, but before he can help them, he suddenly goes up in smoke—leaving behind nothing but a stain on the ground and a seemingly impossible mystery.

Did a witchy ex-mistress cast a deadly spell, or is there something even more sinister happening to the vampires of Salem? Getting to the truth may require raising the undead, with a little help from the owners of a vampire-friendly bed and breakfast. But uncovering Salem’s darkest secrets may drag some of Thierry’s own past into the light.
